October is finally here! Fall is in the air and knitting needles are clicking away,
crochet hooks moving fast. For all of you football widows, what a perfect time to
start your new knitting project-I'm sure your husbands would understand. Lol It's
also time to get busy with those Christmas projects as it will be here before you
know it. In fact, can you believe only 77! Knitting and crocheting days left! With an
expected high of 58 degrees tomorrow, won't we all want to be knitting with fabulous
yarns and enjoying the cool down.

We have plenty of interesting and fun classes coming up! The Entrelac Wrap Class
that begins this weekend is sure to be fun, we will be knitting backwards!! You'll want
to learn this interesting skill, it comes in handy in unexpected places. This weather is
making me knit faster so I can wear this lovely wrap that has been a lot of fun to
knit. The class still has a few openings, but they probably won't be available for
long,
so call or come in and put your name on one of those spots. By popular demand,
we will be doing another Two Socks At A Time Class. The last class was overfull and
I promised to offer another one soon. For the first time, we will be offering a class
on the Rosebud Wrap. This is a fairly easy wrap, but looks gorgeous! Come meet
some new friends and pick up some new skills.

What's new you might ask, and we would tell you all about the new Knitter's Blocking
Kit. Before we could even tell you about them the first time, we sold out. We now
have more in stock and what a fabulous item this is. It comes in a vinyl like tote with
puzzle pieces that you put together to the size of what you need to block. Comes
with blocking pins and blocking cloth. I can't wait to use mine, it is motivating me to
knit faster to get something done so I can block it! Lots of new sock yarn and even
more on it's way. Mexiko is a wonderful cotton/nylon and Elastic mixture, Step
Wellness, another yarn with aloe vera and jobo oils in it. I love this yarn. We have
lots of Lorna's Laces on the way and expecting it this week. Fabulous new Wrap pins
have come in and pictures are on the site. Sheep scissors holders have been a hit
since the flock arrived. I have found a dual purpose for it. Not only does it hold my
scissors and look cute, but it also holds my always missing cable needle as well as a
darning needle. The three things I misplace the most! Cat Bordhi's latest book
Personal Footprints has arrived and is ready to go home with a sock knitter. The new
Lorna's Laces Sock yarn has arrived! And with all those beautiful skeins of yarn, the
new t-shirts are also here. Round neck, short sleeve, black and the front has a skein
of yarn with knitting needles. It says, I Make Pretty Yarn. We have them in sizes
up to 3x, come get them while you can.

The helmet liner drive is going spectacular! We are overflowing with liners and will be
delivering boxes again soon, so we need you to keep up the good work. Since the last
delivery, we have had several requests to provide these liners for service men and
women that are already overseas. Keep those liners coming!

The shawl parade that is on display in the shop windows has really started our ladies
thinking about the holiday season coming up. Come find out what all the fuss is all
about-from cozy to elegant, we have the patterns and yarns!

Don't forget our Thursday evening group-Therapy Thursday. We have a wonderful
group of ladies that come in to relax, knit and enjoy each other's company. Whether
you are a beginner or expert, crocheter or knitter, you will have a great time. The
first Thursday of the month, we have a certified masseuse come in and gives us
wonderful chair massages! Hope to see you here.
